Rike Real Estate LLC was organized by Mary Rike, Broker, in November, 1997, after she had spent a number of years as an agent with another real estate entity. The company specializes in all areas of the real estate industry that are germane to the northern rural Big Country counties of the Rolling Plains of West Texas. The company represents buyers and sellers of real estate properties that include but are not limited to residential, farm and ranch, hunting, recreational including lake frontage, commercial and various vacant sites for future building. In addition, the company issues broker’s price opinions (BPOs) for customers, clients and various federal, state, county and municipal government entities.

Mary Rike, Broker, is a native of Elysian Fields, Texas, where she grew up on a Harrison County farm and livestock operation. She has been involved in all areas of farming, ranching and rural real estate since an early age. After her graduation from high school, she attended the University of Houston and worked for Great Southern Life Insurance Company. After some years of managing Rike Ranch and raising her family, she acquired her agent’s real estate license in 1982 and then her real estate broker’s license in 1997 from the Texas Real Estate Commission. She has extended experience representing clients and representing the court in various judicial proceedings as an “expert witness” at the state level. In addition, she has been called on by various governing boards and bodies to give “expert testimony” concerning real estate particulars in the Rolling Plains of West Texas.
John Rike, Agent, is a native of Haskell, Texas, and has a rural ag background having been the son of parents who farmed and ranched in southeastern Haskell County. After high school, John graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in finance and later graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He retired as President of Rolling Plains Production Credit Association in 2001 after a 34 year commercial banking and agricultural lending career that included experience as a National Bank Examiner, commercial bank and Farm Credit System CEO and as a member of the boards of directors of various financial institutions. In 2002, he came to work for Rike Real Estate LLC.
Megan Cox, Agent, is originally from Franklin, Texas where her family own and operate Kennedy Ranch. After attending Tarleton State University, where she met her husband Justin Cox, they moved to Haskell. Megan has over 9 years of marketing experience. With a large clientel in the area and years of experience Megan can help you market your property or find the perfect farm, ranch or home for your family.
